The TSC1801 is designed for motor control, solar power, and automotive power conditioning applications. Its fast response enables pulse-by-pulse current control, even in high-frequency power management systems. Additionally, it provides rapid over-current detection, protecting sensitive output-stage components from potential damage in case of faults.
Architecture: The TSC1801 is a single-operational-amplifier differential amplifier with built-in gain-setting resistors.
Gain and Accuracy:
Provides a fixed gain of 20V/V.
Ensures an accuracy of 0.15% across the full temperature range.
Maintains a total output error of less than 0.5%.
Offers a maximum offset voltage of ±200μV.
Future Versions: Additional models with 5V/V and 50V/V gain will be released.
Bidirectional Measurement Capability: The device supports bidirectional current sensing, subject to Vref limitations.
Input and Reference Voltage Limits:
Inputs and reference voltage must not drop more than 400mV below the negative supply rail or exceed the positive supply rail by more than 300mV.
Inputs can slightly exceed these limits if the current remains below 10mA.
Operating Conditions:
Operates within a voltage range of 2V to 5.5V.
Supports an extended temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.
Automotive-grade versions are available, qualified and characterized according to AEC-Q100 and Q003 standards.
Undergoes advanced screening in compliance with AEC-Q001 and Q002.
Automotive versions are scheduled for release in the second quarter of this year.
With its high precision and fast response, the TSC1801 is an ideal solution for high-frequency power management applications. Its robust performance and automotive-grade reliability make it suitable for a wide range of industrial and automotive applications.
