2Pai Semi π122U31 Datesheet

The π122U31 is a dual‑channel digital isolator from 2Pai Semi’s π1xxxxx product family, built on proprietary iDivider™ (Intelligent Voltage Divider) technology . Unlike traditional isolators that require signal modulation and demodulation, iDivider technology uses a capacitor voltage divider principle to transmit voltage signals directly across the isolation barrier, resulting in ultra‑low power consumption, high immunity to noise, and simplified circuit design . The device operates with a wide supply voltage range of 3.0 V to 5.5 V on both sides, enabling voltage level translation across the isolation barrier. The π122U31 provides a data rate of up to 150 kbps, making it suitable for general‑purpose isolation applications. It features a high common‑mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 150 kV/µs (typical), ensuring reliable operation in noisy industrial environments . The isolation voltage rating is 3000 Vrms per UL 1577, and the device meets multiple safety and regulatory certifications

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The π1xxxxx is a 2PaiSemi digital isolators product family thatincludes over hundreds of digital isolator products. By usingmaturated standard semiconductor CMOS technology and2PaiSEMI iDivider technology, these isolation componentsprovide outstanding performance characteristics and reliabilitysuperior to alternatives such as optocoupler devices and otherintegrated isolators.Intelligent voltage divider technology (iDivider technology) is anew generation digital isolator technology invented by 2PaiSEMI.It uses the principle of capacitor voltage divider to transmitvoltage signal directly cross the isolator capacitor without signalmodulation and demodulation.The π1xxxxx isolator data channels are independent and areavailable in a variety of configurations with a withstand voltagerating of 1.5 kV rms to 6.0 kV rms and the data rate from DC up to 600Mbps (see the Ordering Guide). The devices operate withthe supply voltage on either side ranging from 3.0 V to 5.5 V,providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well asenabling voltage translation functionality across the isolationbarrier. The fail-safe state is available in which the outputstransition to a preset state when the input power supply is notapplied.
