The Infineon BSZ0506NS is a rugged, N-channel power MOSFET designed for high-performance step-down (buck) converter applications, particularly in server and VGA (Video Graphics Array) power delivery. This device features extremely low figure of merit (FOM) for Qoss and Qg, enabling high-frequency switch-mode power supply (SMPS) designs with improved efficiency. The BSZ0506NS offers very low on-resistance (RDS(on)) at VGS = 4.5 V, ensuring reduced conduction losses. It is 100% avalanche tested, providing reliable operation under overvoltage transients. Superior thermal resistance enhances heat dissipation, allowing robust performance in compact, high-power-density systems. The MOSFET is qualified according to JEDEC standards for target applications, and features a Pb-free lead plating (RoHS compliant) as well as halogen-free certification according to IEC61249-2-21.
