Infineon TLE4968-1M Datesheet

The TLE4968-1M is an integrated Hall effect switch from Infineon’s TLE496x family, designed for high-accuracy position and speed sensing in demanding automotive and industrial environments. It operates from an unregulated 3.0 V to 32 V supply and withstands overvoltage up to 42 V (e.g., load dump) without external resistors, featuring reverse polarity protection down to -18 V. The device provides active error compensation, high magnetic threshold stability, output overcurrent and overtemperature protection, and low jitter (typ. 0.35 μs). Housed in a small PG-SOT23-3-15 package, the TLE4968-1M offers very low magnetic thresholds with bipolar switching behavior, making it ideal for applications requiring high sensitivity and output switching near zero magnetic field — such as BLDC rotor position detection, camshaft sensing, and transmission speed/position measurements. Its operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 170°C.

Target Applications:

Target applications for the TLE496x Hall switch family are all applications which require a high precision Hallswitch with an operating temperature range from -40°C to 170°C. Its superior supply voltage range from 3.0 V to32 V with overvoltage capability (e.g. load-dump) up to 42 V without external resistor makes it ideally suited forautomotive and industrial applications.The TLE4968-1M has very low magnetic thresholds and a bipolar switching behavior. It is therefore especiallysuited for applications which require a high sensitivity device and an output switching close to zero magnetic fieldvalues. Possible applications are BLDC rotor position measurement or speed and position measurements incamshaft or transmission applications.
