The Skyworks SI4432-B1-FMR is a highly integrated, single-chip wireless ISM transceiver from the EZRadioPRO® family. This device delivers exceptional RF performance with an extremely low receive sensitivity of –121 dBm and industry‑leading +20 dBm maximum output power, ensuring extended range and robust link performance. It operates over a continuous frequency range of 240–930 MHz (Si4432 variant) with fine tuning steps of 156 Hz or 312 Hz, supporting FSK, GFSK, and OOK modulation at data rates from 0.123 kbps to 256 kbps. The Si4432 consumes only 18.5 mA in receive mode and 85 mA when transmitting at +20 dBm. It operates from a 1.8 V to 3.6 V power supply and includes an ultra‑low power shutdown mode.

 Description:

Silicon Laboratories’ Si4430/31/32 devices are highly integrated, single chipwireless ISM transceivers. The high-performance EZRadioPRO® family includesa complete line of transmitters, receivers, and transceivers allowing the RFsystem designer to choose the optimal wireless part for their application.The Si4430/31/32’s high level of integration offers reduced BOM cost whilesimplifying the overall system design. The extremely low receive sensitivity(–121 dBm) coupled with industry leading +20 dBm output power ensuresextended range and improved link performance. Built-in antenna diversity andsupport for frequency hopping can be used to further extend range and enhanceperformance.The Si4430/31/32 offers advanced radio features including continuous frequencycoverage from 240–960 MHz in 156 Hz or 312 Hz steps allowing precise tuningcontrol. Additional system features such as an automatic wake-up timer, lowbattery detector, 64 byte TX/RX FIFOs, automatic packet handling, and preambledetection reduce overall current consumption and allow the use of lower-costsystem MCUs. An integrated temperature sensor, general purpose ADC, poweron-reset (POR), and GPIOs further reduce overall system cost and size.The Si4430/31/32’s digital receive architecture features a high-performance ADCand DSP based modem which performs demodulation, filtering, and packethandling for increased flexibility and performance. The direct digital transmitmodulation and automatic PA power ramping ensure precise transmit modulationand reduced spectral spreading ensuring compliance with global regulationsincluding FCC, ETSI, ARIB, and 802.15.4d regulations.An easy-to-use calculator is provided to quickly configure the radio settings,simplifying customer's system design and reducing time to market.
