STMicroelectronics LIS2DW12

The STMicroelectronics LIS2DW12 is an ultra-low-power, high-performance three-axis linear accelerometer from the "femto" family, built on robust and mature MEMS manufacturing processes. This device delivers exceptional power efficiency with consumption as low as 50 nA in power-down mode and below 1 µA in active low-power mode, making it ideal for battery-powered and energy-sensitive applications. The LIS2DW12 features user-selectable full scales of ±2g/±4g/±8g/±16g and measures accelerations with output data rates from 1.6 Hz to 1600 Hz. With very low noise performance down to 1.3 mg RMS in low-power mode, it ensures precise motion sensing across multiple operating modes and bandwidths. An integrated 32-level FIFO buffer minimizes host processor intervention by storing data efficiently, while the embedded temperature sensor adds environmental monitoring capability. The device includes self-test functionality and offers high shock survivability up to 10000 g.

The LIS2DW12 is an ultralow-power high-performance 3-axis linear accelerometer belonging to the “femto” family, which leverages on the robust and mature manufacturing processes already used for the production of micromachined

accelerometers.The device has user-selectable full scales of ±2g/±4g/±8g/±16g and can measure accelerations with output data rates from 1.6 Hz to 1600 Hz.The LIS2DW12 has an integrated 32-level first-in, first-out (FIFO) buffer allowing the user to store data in order to limit intervention by the host processor.The embedded self-test capability allows the user to check the functioning of the sensor in the final application.
