Description:
The BQ79612-Q1, BQ79614-Q1, and BQ79616-Q1 provide high-accuracy battery voltage measurements for 12S, 14S, and 16S battery modules in HEV/EV high-voltage battery management systems in less than 200μs. This family of monitors offers different channel options in the same package type, provides pin-to-pin compatibility, and supports high reuse of existing software and hardware on any platform. With an integrated front-end filter, a simple, low-voltage-rated differential RC filter can be used on the battery input channels for system implementation. The integrated post-ADC low-pass filter enables filtered, DC-like voltage measurements to better calculate the state of charge (SOC). This device supports autonomous internal cell balancing and automatically suspends and resumes balancing based on temperature monitoring to prevent over-temperature conditions.
