Description:
The BQ7965x-Q1 family of devices provides high-accuracy battery voltage measurements for 6S to 12S (BQ79652-Q1), 14S (BQ79654-Q1), or 16S (BQ79656-Q1) battery modules in less than 200µs, while also supporting shunt resistor current-sense measurements. The integrated front-end filter enables the system to use simple, low-voltage-rated differential RC filters on the battery input channels. The integrated post-ADC low-pass filter enables filtered, DC-like voltage measurements. The device family also supports integrated current-sense detection, selectable to synchronize with battery voltage measurements for better state-of-charge (SOC) calculations. The device supports autonomous internal cell balancing and automatically suspends and resumes balancing by monitoring temperature to prevent overheating conditions.
