Description:
The DRV824x-Q1 device family is a fully integrated H-bridge driver designed for a wide range of automotive applications. The device can be configured as a single full-bridge driver or as two independent half-bridge drivers. This monolithic power package device system, designed using a BiCMOS high-power process technology node, provides excellent power handling and thermal performance, with a small package size, ease of layout, and robust EMI control, precise current sensing, and diagnostic capabilities. The family offers identical pin functions and scalable RON (current capability) to support different loads. These devices integrate N-channel H-bridges, charge pump regulators, high-side current sensing and regulation, current proportional outputs, and protection circuits. A low-power sleep mode is also provided to achieve low quiescent current. The devices offer voltage monitoring and load diagnostics, as well as overcurrent and overtemperature protection. Fault conditions are indicated on the nFAULT pin. The devices are available in three variants — Hardware interface: HW (H), and two SPI variants: SPI (P) and SPI (S), where SPI (P) is for an externally supplied logic supply and SPI (S) is for an internally generated logic supply. The SPI variants enable more flexible device configuration and fault monitoring.
