Description:

The ISOW7841A-Q1 is a high-performance, quad-channel, reinforced digital isolator with an integrated, high-efficiency power converter that meets automotive standards. The low-emission, integrated DC/DC converter operates efficiently and provides up to 650mW of isolated power, configurable with various input and output voltages. Consequently, this device enables space-constrained isolation designs without the need for a separate isolated power supply.

• AEC-Q100 qualified with the following characteristics:

– Device temperature grade 1: –40°C to +125°C ambient operating temperature range

• 100Mbps data rate

• Functional safety capable

– Documentation available to aid in the design of functional safety systems

• Robust isolation barrier:

– >100-year projected lifetime at 1 kVRMS working voltage

– Isolation rating up to 5000 VRMS

– Surge immunity up to 10 kVPK

– ±100 kV/µs minimum CMTI

• Integrated high-efficiency DC/DC converter with on-chip transformer

• Wide supply voltage range: 3V to 5.5V

• Regulated 5V or 3.3V output

• Output power up to 0.65W

• 5V to 5V; 5V to 3.3V: Available load current ≥ 130 mA

• 3.3V to 3.3V: Available load current ≥ 75mA; 3.3V to 5V: Available load current ≥ 40 mA

• Soft-start to limit inrush current

• Overload and short-circuit protection

• Low propagation delay: 13 ns (typical, 5V supply)
